It's old news that Belgian cycling superstar Tom Boonen wants to ride the track at the Beijing Olympics, but on crazy about belgium we bring you a rare picture of Boonen racing on the track.

It was taken by top Belgian photographer, Luc Claessen and shows Tommeke riding a pursuit race against the then Belgian champion, Marc Wauters on the Hasselt 6-day track in February 2006.

Boonen won in a time that wasn't
earth shattering, but it was an
exhibition race on a very tricky and
tight track. If he gets to Beijing you
can bet he'll go a lot faster.
